Lorem ipsum generators are about the simplest tool on the web, and most of them do the job. The reasons to want a different one are small but real: a page with ads around the output, extra clicks to get plain text, or no way to get HTML paragraphs without editing the result by hand.

Rolling your own. Many editors have a snippet that expands to lorem ipsum. That works until you need a specific count or HTML paragraphs, and then a generator is quicker.
