If you search for a PDF to PowerPoint converter, most results are online services that take your file, convert it on their servers and hand back a .pptx. That is fine for a public brochure and a poor fit for a contract, a board deck or a client report. iLoveDevTools's PDF to PowerPoint does the work in your browser tab, so the PDF is never sent anywhere.
The goal is the thing people usually need from a PDF inside a deck: the page as a picture you can copy, and the text as text you can edit.
In Image + text mode the picture and the text are on separate slides on purpose. A page picture already contains its text, so laying text boxes on top would show every word twice, slightly misaligned. Keeping them apart avoids that.
Layout is approximate, and it is worth being plain about it. Text is black, set in Arial, Times New Roman or Courier New in place of the PDF's own fonts, and bold, italic, colours, tables and multi-column layouts are not reproduced. Scanned PDFs have no text layer, so the text slides come out empty; run OCR PDF first. The picture slides are the faithful copy of each page.
Desktop and cloud suites with a layout engine. Tools that rebuild a PDF into native PowerPoint shapes, tables and fonts can reproduce complex layouts more closely than a browser tool that places lines of text. If you need an editable, near-identical deck from a designed PDF, one of them will usually get closer. Check how each handles your file and what its privacy policy says about uploads.
Copying a single image or paragraph. If you only need one page as an image, PDF to PNG or PDF to JPG is simpler. For the text alone as Markdown, use PDF to Markdown.
For a private, no-signup way to get a PDF's pages into slides as pictures and its text into editable boxes, try PDF to PowerPoint. If you need pixel-accurate, fully editable slides from a complex design, expect to use a converter with a real layout engine and to check its upload policy.
